A fantastic read, the characters are down to earth normal people who by the end of the book will be your friends too, very well written, great story line, VERY VERY hard to put down, lost a few days of normal life, where all i could think about was the book and what was happening next. One very happy customer.

This is not your average Vampire story. It is a very mature story of club jumping, band following, a lot of sex, a lot of alcohol consumption and a "Vampire" serial killer. We start with Angel not your average twenty something girl who is trying to get her hand in on being a writer. But, she ends up being a gopher at a Newspaper. Well there are strange unsolved murders happening in her local area that are being blamed on a "real vampire". Two marks to the neck and the women are drained until dead. Well Angels boss wants her to investigate the band members at a local club because rumor has it that they are "real vampires". This club is kind of Goth style and Angel will fit right in, actually it is one that she frequents quite often. Angel feels this might be her big break for writing a story and agrees. Well then the trouble begins with a man called Ash. This story started out a little slow for me, but really got rolling about half way through. The story keeps you guessing and then will slap you hard in the end. A good read.

Sanguinary is first book in the Sanguinary Series.

Would you bleed for the one you love?

Angel Harris has always had a thing about vampires, but not so much the killer that is claiming victims in the city where she lives and works.  The press are calling him 'The Vampire' because the victims are found drained of blood, with bite marks to their necks.

Ash is the lead singer in a local rock band.  Angel is drawn into his world when she is asked by her boss at the local newspaper to investigate rumours of blood drinking within Ash's band.

Ash and Angel bond on a deep level and she finds herself welcomed into this group of supposed blood drinkers.

But the body count continues to rise and Angel will soon find out that 'The Vampire' is cloers to her than she ever would have believed.

Sex, blood and rock 'n' roll.

This novel was not really in my comfort zone genre, but I must confess that once I got into it, it made good entertaining reading. It is an uncompromising book in some respects, (which is good), resisting the temptations to become a strictly 'YA' work to use the buzz word; and to cater only for a limited age based readership; it breaks both these boundries. It uses language of the vernacular which is raw and accurate and contributes well to the characterization. The storyline is consistent and well paced, but maybe not as layered as it could be, (but that is a very minor criticism, if there has to be one). I also liked the cover, which is what first attracts a potential reader. All in all most enjoyable and satisfactory.
